Snowmobile HillClimb Racing Online
After a successful season last year of reporting live race times for the RMSHA circuit, Sled2Sled has decided to raise the bar for this upcoming season and redesign our site from the ground up to provide a more informative and exciting site that offers many added benefits!
New this year will be a racer profile section that allows you to get to know the racers better, as well as their sponsors and others that support them. We will have a stat tracker system that will allow you to see how each individual has done at every race and in every class. You can chat it up with any and all of the racers through our buddy press system and become friends with as many people as you would like.
Sled2Sled will offer product giveaways from advertisers on the site that will range anywhere from clothing to gift certificates and more! And the ultimate grand prize give-away will be an opportunity to win a complimentary 2 day trip with Burandt’s Backcountry Adventures to ride with Chris Burandt and crew!
So stay tuned and keep checking back for more exciting updates and offers!
After much excitement and anticipation, the year end points championship race in Sandpoint, ID at Schweitzer Ski Resort has now come and gone. Racers from RMSHA met one final time in Northern Idaho, and were greeted by as much snow on the hillside as they had seen all year. With expectations of a beautiful spring weekend and clear skies, mother nature proved to have other plans in mind.
Coming off a long break from the World Championship Jackson Hole race, and a cancelled race at the Pebble Creek Ski Resort, the time has finally arrived for the Beaver Mountain Hillclimb. Sitting high in the mountains outside of Logan, Utah, Beaver Mountain offers good snow conditions and typically very nice weather this time of year. With an open hillside and lots of snow, race directors have many options and obstacles for how they set up the course and spectators can watch the whole run of competitors as they rocket up the hillside.
So make sure to come join us, in person or online, and follow all the high speed action from the weekend as we continue to race and finish the 2013 race season with this second to last race of the year!
Welcome back, we are here with lake views from up top and plenty of snow to race in beautiful Schweitzer Mt. just north of Sandpoint, Idaho, starting what is the last race of the season. The Jackson Hole hillclimbs have completed and what a weekend of racing it was! With lower than normal snow, accompanied with lower than normal temperatures, the hillside and the snow held up extremely well and made for a great weekend of racing. Congratulations to the big winners on the weekend: Kyle Tapio #318 (Arctic Cat), Luke Rainey #303 (Polaris), Toby Shepherd #22 (Polaris), and Christy Frisby #357 (Arctic Cat).
Coming off of a serious injury, Kyle Tapio managed to show his dominance at the Jackson Hole Hillclimb and took home the Improved Stock King title, Mod King title, and topped it off by claiming the coveted King of Kings crown!
Luke Rainey laid down a blistering time in the stock King runs and was able to beat out all other challengers and claimed the Stock King title.
In the semi-pro division, Toby Shepherd absolutely dominated in the finals. Starting off with a win in the semi-pro stock class, Shepherd kept the momentum rolling throughout his next two runs as well. By the time all the snow dust had settled, Toby Shepherd had accomplished the amazing feat of winning all three semi-pro king titles. Toby Shepherd is the 2013 semi-pro Stock, Improved Stock, and Mod King of the Hill!
Christy Frisby came out to play at one race on the year, and what opportunity she made of it! Christy rode phenomenally all day long and was able to outlast the competition and eventually lay claim to the women’s Queen of the Hill.
